Have you taken the DCC plunge? If not why not?  Well the first step in taking the plunge is to pick a DCC system.  This can be very frustrating and sometimes so overwhelming that you just give up.  Never fear we are here to help.  Choosing a DCC system is easy once you know a few things.  First, ask yourself, how many trains you want to run.  Second, what would you like the controller to look like?  Third, how big is your train layout?  Fourth, do you want a radio system?  Now that you have the answers to the above questions we can begin to discuss the companies.  Each company makes a basic system.  The basic systems are usually easy to set up, understand, and can run a few trains.  The basic systems can do most of what the more advance systems can do they are just limited in there capabilities.  For example the basic systems maybe only able to run ten trains. They do all of what the advance systems do just limited in how many trains you can run.  Now on to the advanced systems.  Advanced systems simply mean more trains, more functions, and maybe more power.  As you choose your system look through the different companies and get a feel for there products. Also, ask your friends what they have.  Finally, you can ask me and I will help.  I own and operate a Digitrax system which is what I prefer, however, this is mostly because this is what people had that I knew.  One final word, DO NOT BUY A SYSTEM UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AND TALK TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS DCC SYSTEMS.  Enjoy your tour through the various companies below.
